By using CutSnap, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

2. Information We Do NOT Collect

Unlike most online image editors, CutSnap does NOT collect or store:

• The images you upload or process
• The results of your image processing
• Any metadata from your images (EXIF, GPS, etc.)
• Your name, email, or any account information (no signup required)
• Payment information (the service is free)

3. Information We May Collect

To maintain and improve the service, we may collect minimal, anonymous information:

• Usage statistics: Anonymous counts of how many times the tool is used, stored locally in your browser via localStorage (daily quota tracking). This data never leaves your device.
• Browser information: Standard server logs may record your IP address, browser type, and pages visited. This is used for security and analytics purposes only.
• Language preference: Your selected language is stored locally in your browser for convenience.

4. How Images Are Processed

CutSnap uses a unique architecture that prioritizes your privacy:

• The AI model (~40MB) is downloaded once to your browser and cached locally
• When you upload an image, it is read directly by your browser using the FileReader API
• The AI model runs entirely in your browser using WebGL acceleration
• The processed result is generated locally and available for download
• At no point is your image data sent to any server

5. Cookies and Local Storage

CutSnap uses localStorage (not cookies) to store the following on your device:

• Daily usage quota (resets at midnight local time)
• Language preference

We do not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or any third-party analytics cookies. You can clear this data at any time through your browser settings.

6. Third-Party Services

CutSnap may use the following third-party services:

• CDN (jsDelivr): The AI model library is loaded from a CDN. This download contains only the model code, not your images.
• IP geolocation (ipwho.is): Used only to auto-detect your preferred language. Your IP is not stored or linked to any personal data.
• Sample images (picsum.photos): Optional sample images for trying the tool. These are public domain photos.

7. Data Security

Because your images never leave your device, there is no risk of data breach, unauthorized access, or server-side data leakage related to your images. The only data transmitted is the initial download of the AI model, which is the same for all users and contains no personal information.

8. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction (GDPR, CCPA, etc.), you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you (minimal, as described above)
• Request deletion of your data (simply clear your browser localStorage)
• Opt out of any data collection (no signup or tracking required)
• Export your data (your processed images are yours to download)

9. Children's Privacy

CutSnap is suitable for users of all ages. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Since no account creation is required and no images are stored, children can use the service safely.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify users of significant changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
